Underground Vest

Obsessed with vests? So am I! This quick-knitting bulky vest is a fun knit and a great layering piece or stand-alone top. No sleeves makes this an easy-to-fit knit.
Construction Details:
The Underground Vest is worked flat in two separate pieces. After completing the pieces, the shoulders are seamed and the neckline is worked. The armhole edges are self-finishing with a textural pattern worked into the armhole rows.

To fit bust: 29 (33, 37, 41, 45)(49, 53, 57, 61)”/73.5 (84, 94, 104, 114)(124.5, 134.5, 145, 155)cm.
Suggested to be worn with 5-8”/12.5-20 cm of positive ease. Size up if you are between sizes.
Finished bust: 34 (38, 42, 46, 50)(54, 58, 62, 66)”/86 (96.5, 106.5, 117, 127)(137, 147, 157.5, 167.5)cm.
Length of back: 21 (22, 23, 24, 25)(26, 27, 28, 29)”/53.25 (55.75, 58.5, 61, 63.5)(66, 68.5, 71, 73.5)cm.
Gauge: 10 sts and 15 rows = 4” in Stockinette Stitch using size needle to obtain gauge.
Needles: US 11 (8 mm) needle or size needed for gauge, US 11 (8 mm) 16”/40 cm circular needle for neckline. Adjust needle size as necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Yarn: 290 (330, 380, 430, 480)(540, 600, 660, 720) yards/265 (300, 350, 395, 440)(495, 550, 605, 660) meters of super bulky weight (CYCA #6) yarn.
Sample made with Wool Addicts “Hope” (100% virgin wool, 99 yds/90 m per 100 g ball) in color 0003. 3 (4, 4, 5, 5)(6, 6, 7, 8) balls. Shown in size 3 on Shaina (5’2”/size 38” bust). Teal vest pictured on page 6 was knit with Lion Brand “Wool Ease Thick & Quick” in the 4th size.
