
Toasty Triangles Cowl
Knit a fun cowl using stranded colorwork and two or more colors in stunning triangle motifs.
Techniques Required: Casting on, joining in the round, knit/purl, working stranded colorwork, working slipped stitches, binding off, and weaving in ends.
Tutorial videos are provided in the pattern for many of the techniques used.
Finished Measurements: The approximate finished size is 23”/58 cm circumference x 13”/33 cm depth.
Yarn: 150 yards each of two colors of Worsted weight (CYCA #4) yarn.
Samples shown in: Yarn Snob Yarns “A Wondrous Worsted” (100% superwash merino wool; 218 yds/100 g skein) in Magenta and Blackout.
Cascade Yarns “Cascade 220 Superwash” (100% superwash merino wool; 220 yds/100 g skein) in #228 – Frosted Almond and #881 – Mauve.
Needles: US 7 (4.5 mm) 24”/60 cm circular needles or size needed for gauge. US 6 (4 mm) 24”/60 cm circular needles or one size smaller than size needed for gauge. Adjust needle size as necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Gauge: 18 sts and 22 rounds = 4” in stranded colorwork using larger needle.
Other materials: Stitch marker, row counter (optional), tapestry needle, scissors.
