Diadem Shawlette

The Diadem Shawlette is a simple crochet wrap using worsted weight yarn. The triangular motif throughout the shawlette is a nod to bejeweled crowns worn by heroic queens throughout history.
There is a video tutorial provided for the shawl that covers beginning the shawl through the picot edging.
Construction Details:
The Diadem Shawlette is worked from the center top towards the outer edge. After working the set-up rows, the crochet pattern is a simple one-row repeat that uses double crochet and chain stitches. A picot edging is worked at the end of the shawl to add flair.

- Weaving in ends
Sizes: One size, but adjustable to different yarn weights and yardages with recommendations in Pattern Notes.
Finished measurements of sample: 52”/130 cm across top & 24”/60 cm depth from center top to bottom point.
Gauge: 4 V-sts and 7 rows = 4”/10 cm in V-Stitch Pattern, unblocked and 3 V-sts and 6 rows = 4”/10 cm in V-Stitch Pattern, blocked, using size hook to obtain gauge.
Hook: US I/9 (5.5 mm) crochet hook or size needed for gauge. Adjust hook size as necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Yarn: 328 yards of worsted weight (CYCA #4) yarn. Sample made with Yarn Snob Yarns “Wondrous Worsted 328” (100% superwash merino wool, 328 yds /150 g), 1 ball in True Blue.
Other Materials: locking stitch marker, tapestry needle.
