Bubblicious Cowl
Skill level: Advanced beginner/Intermediate
Bubbles, bobbles, eyelets, and polka-dots adorn this cozy cowl in three colors of worsted weight. Choose two solid colors and one multicolor or textural yarn to create a bubblicious knit all your own! This design was created for my second annual Mystery Cowl Knit Along, which takes place December 26-January 1st.
Construction Details:
Cowl is worked in the round from the bottom to top. Tutorial videos are provided for many of the techniques in the cowl.

Yarn:
2 colors of worsted weight (CYCA #4) yarn and 1 color of a textured yarn that is a DK (CYCA #3) or worsted weight (CYCA #4) in the following yardage amounts:
Color A – 175 yards worsted weight. Color suggestions: solid or subtle tonal.
Color B – 125 yards of textural yarn in a DK or worsted weight. Fingering weight (CYCA #1) yarn held together with a laceweight mohair also work well as a combination. Color suggestions: solid, tonal, self-stripe, hand paint, or multicolor.
Color C – 95 yards worsted weight. Color suggestions: solid or subtle tonal.

Color A: Yarn Snob Yarns “A Wondrous Worsted” (100% Superwash Merino; 218 yds/100 g) 1 ball in Peach.
Color B: Yarn Snob Yarns “Teddy”(100% Superwash Merino Boucle; 240 yds/100 g) 1 ball in Charcoal.
Color C: Yarn Snob Yarns “A Wondrous Worsted” (100% Superwash Merino; 218 yds/100 g) 1 ball in Silver.
Aqua/Cream cowl
Color A: Malabrigo Yarns “Rios” (100% Superwash Merino Wool; 210 yds/100 g) 1 ball in Ivory.
Color B - 2 yarns held together:
Shibui Knits “Silk Cloud” (60% Kid Mohair, 40% Silk; 330 yds/25 g) 1 ball in Ivory.
Schoppel-Wolle “Edition 3” (100% Merino Wool; 164 yds/50 g) 1 ball in 2301 Taupunkt.
Color C: Malabrigo Yarns “Rios” (100% Superwash Merino Wool; 210 yds/100 g) 1 ball in Ankara Green.
Gauge: 4.5 stitches and 6 rounds = 1” in stockinette stitch.
Finished measurements: approximately 26” circumference x 13” deep (cowl may be made more narrow by taking off 12 stitches)
Needles: US 7 (4.5 mm) 24” circular needle or size needed to obtain gauge and US 6 (4 mm) 24” circular needle or one size smaller than size needed to obtain gauge.
Additional materials: stitch marker, tapestry needle.
