Bubbelah Cape

The Bubbelah Cape is a cozy shoulder warmer worked in the round from the neckline down. Two strands of fingering weight yarn held together make for a beautiful color and texture blend while creating a soft, drapey fabric.
Construction Details:
The Bubbelah Cape is worked from the neckline towards the lower edge. Increases to widen the cape are worked over three separate rounds.

Sizes: One size
Finished measurements: Approximately 26”/65 cm neckline circumference, 68.5”/171 cm bottom circumference, and 15”/38 cm depth when laid flat.
Gauge: 14 sts and 20 rounds = 4”/10 cm in circular Stockinette Stitch holding one strand each of Color A and Color B together, blocked, using size needle to obtain gauge.
Needles: US 9 (5.5 mm) 24”/60 cm and 40”/100 cm circular needles or size needed for gauge. US 8 (5 mm) 24”/60 cm circular needles or one size smaller than size needed for gauge. Adjust needle size as necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Color A: 394 yards of fingering weight (CYCA #1) yarn. Shown in Hand Dyed Yarns by Shaina Bilow “Bounce” (85% Superwash Merino Wool, 15% Nylon; 394 yds/100 g).
Color B: 394 yards of fingering weight (CYCA #1) yarn. Shown in Hand Dyed Yarns by Shaina Bilow “Whirl” (Boucle - 100% Superwash Merino Wool; 492 yds/100 g).
Color C (optional, for bottom border): 78 yards of fingering weight (CYCA #1) yarn. Shown in Hand Dyed Yarns by Shaina Bilow “Bounce” (85% Superwash Merino Wool, 15% Nylon; 78 yds/20 g).
Other Materials: 1 stitch marker, tapestry needle.
