Blend is a comfortable and classic shawl collar cardigan with pockets. This simple sweater shape is made magical by combining two fingering weight colorways – your very own yarn blend!

Construction Details:

Blend is a seamed sweater worked from the bottom up in five pieces. The front collar is picked up and knit after the shoulders are seamed together. Pocket linings are added while the front is being worked.

To fit bust: 29 (33, 37, 41, 45)(49, 53, 57, 61)”/73.5 (84, 94, 104, 114.5)(124.5, 134.5, 145, 155) cm

Finished bust: 35 (39, 43, 47, 51)(55, 59, 63, 67)”/89 (99, 109, 119.5, 129.5)(140, 150, 160, 170) cm

Recommended ease is 6”/15 cm. If you are between sizes, go down a size for a tailored/fitted look or up a size for a more casual/oversized look. Shaina is 5’2”/158 cm tall and has a 39”/99 cm bust and is wearing the size 3 sweater.

Yarn: 1225 (1325, 1475, 1600, 1750)(1925, 2075, 2250, 2400) yards EACH of two colors of fingering weight (CYCA #1) yarn.

Sample made with one strand of Yarn Snob “A Good Fingering” (100% Superwash Merino wool; 437 yds/100g ball) in color Orchid #121 held together with one strand of Berroco “Berroco Sox” (75% Superwash Wool, 25% Nylon; 440 yards/100g ball) in color 14100 Nile. 4 balls of each yarn.

Gauge: 18 sts and 26 rows = 4”/10 cm in St-st stitch holding two strands of fingering weight yarn together and using size needle to obtain gauge.

Needles: US 7 (4.5 mm) needle for body and US 7 (4.5 mm) 40”/100 cm circular needle for front edging or size needed for gauge. Adjust needle size as necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Other Materials: 2 stitch holders, tapestry needle.
