Construction Details
The BeatBox cowl is worked in the round, using a mosaic knitting technique for the colorwork. Pattern is written as well as charted. A pattern row checklist is provided to help you keep track of the rounds.
Techniques Necessary
• Cast on
• Joining in the round
• Knit and Purl
• Slipping stitches purlwise with yarn in back
• Bind off
Size options: One size
Finished Measurements: 24” circumference x 12.5” length
Yarn: 200 yards each of 2 colors of worsted weight (CYCA #4) yarn. Recommended: Yarn Snob A Wondrous Worsted (100% superwash merino wool, 218 yds / 100 g) 1 skein each of Happiness and Natural.
Gauge: 18.5 sts and 37 rounds = 4” in pattern stitch, blocked, using size needle to obtain gauge.
Needle: US 8 (5 mm) 24” circular needle or size needed for gauge, US 6 (4 mm) 24” circular needle or two sizes smaller than size needed for gauge. Adjust needle size as necessary to obtain correct gauge.
